Pairs well with
CGI or CMA? One question decides it.
Same sample, same lab, same turnaround. The difference is how far past the gut the report reads.
IBS, IBD, SIBO, bloating, irregularity, food reactions — the question is the gut itself.
- Ecosystem map: diversity, resilience, beneficial bacteria
- Pathogens and inflammation-risk markers
- Gut barrier and antibiotic-resistance profile
- Personalized food, prebiotic and probiotic plan
Energy, mood, skin, weight, immunity — alongside gut symptoms.
- Everything in CGI, plus the five gut axes:
- Gut–Brain — mood, cognition, and the bacterial signals linked to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's risk
- Gut–Gastrointestinal — IBS, SIBO and IBD indicators read at the ecosystem level
- Gut–Metabolism — weight, blood sugar and type 2 diabetes, fatty liver
- Gut–Heart — blood pressure and atherosclerosis risk
- Gut–Immune — immune function, allergy and eczema
Not sure? CMA covers both — you never lose the gut-function picture by choosing it.

A closer look
The GutID Complete Microbiome Assessment (CMA) is our most comprehensive at-home gut microbiome test. Using patented Titan-1™ long-read sequencing technology, the CMA analyzes your stool sample at the strain level — resolving organisms that genus-level tests leave unnamed — and maps how your microbiome connects to your overall health through five critical gut axes.
Everything in Core Gut Insights, plus full gut-axis analysis
The CMA includes all of the advanced gut health testing in our CGI test — microbiome diversity, richness, evenness and resilience scoring, antibiotic resistome profiling, pathogen and beneficial-bacteria identification, inflammation-risk markers, and gut barrier and mucosa function assessment — plus in-depth analysis across five key biological pathways.
The five gut axes
- Gut–Brain Axis — Insights related to mood disorders, cognitive health, and Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease risk
- Gut–Gastrointestinal Axis — Insights related to IBS, SIBO and IBD indicators
- Gut–Metabolism Axis — Insights related to obesity, type 2 diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
- Gut–Heart Axis — Insights related to hypertension and atherosclerosis risk
- Gut–Immune Axis — Insights related to immune function and eczema (atopic dermatitis)
The CMA also evaluates nutrient and dietary component metabolism — giving you or your clinician a fuller picture of your gut health and how it connects to the rest of your body.
Personalized recommendations tailored to your unique microbiome
Your results include customized food recommendations based on your specific bacterial profile, along with personalized supplement, prebiotic, and probiotic suggestions — all designed to help you take targeted action based on what your microbiome actually needs.
Simple at-home collection. Lab-grade results.
Your easy-to-use test kit includes everything you need for at-home stool sample collection with step-by-step instructions. Ship your sample using the prepaid return envelope. It is processed in a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory in the United States, powered by Intus Bio's patented Titan-1™ sequencing and AI/ML analysis platform.
How long results take
Once the lab receives your sample and it passes quality control, processing typically takes 3–4 weeks to yield results. Your results are then uploaded to your GutID portal account, and you get an email letting you know they are available to view.
GutID provides wellness and educational insights and is not a diagnostic test.

Collection Tube, Activation Card, Instructional Manual, Stool Catcher Strips, Sample Bag, Pre-paid Sample Return Bag.
Reliable: species and strain-level resolution
GutID runs on Titan-1™, and the resolution comes from the whole workflow rather than any single step in it: a proprietary lysis and extraction method we manufacture ourselves, which opens bacteria that conventional extraction struggles to recover; a patented amplicon spanning the complete 16S–ITS–23S ribosomal region; and our own AI/ML-driven bioinformatics platform, which assigns identity from that full region rather than matching short fragments against a fixed database.
Together these give species-level identification and strain differentiation while keeping relative abundance accurate, so your report reflects what is actually in your sample — including organisms that are poorly represented in reference databases.
Easy: Simple, Quick, and Mess-Free
Collect your sample in just 5 minutes from the comfort of your home using our intuitive, mess-free collection kit. No complicated steps, just a seamless experience designed for your convenience.
Actionable: Insights You Can Apply
Your personalized report includes clear, science-backed dietary, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations tailored to your unique microbiome. Take meaningful steps toward optimizing your gut health with recommendations designed to fit your lifestyle.

Before you order
Answers to the questions people ask before they buy. More on our full FAQs page.
What do I actually have to do?
Collect one stool sample at home with the kit — it takes a few minutes and the instructions walk you through it. Seal it, drop the prepaid return envelope in the mail, and you're done. No blood draw, no clinic visit.
How long until I get results?
After the lab receives your sample and it passes quality checks, results take 3–4 weeks in the US and 4–5 weeks in the UK and Canada. You'll get an email the moment your report is in your GutID portal.
What's in the report?
A map of your gut as an ecosystem — diversity and resilience, the beneficial bacteria you have and the ones you're missing, pathogens with quantities and reference ranges, antibiotic resistance, and gut-barrier markers — then a personalized food, prebiotic, probiotic and supplement plan built from your results. CMA adds the five gut axes. See a sample report.
Do I need a clinician?
You can order directly without a clinician. Individual clients can choose an optional $79.00 report consultation. If you are a clinician, interpretation support is always included at no charge.
Can I pay with my HSA or FSA?
For US customers, GutID may be eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement depending on your plan. Your order confirmation provides an itemized receipt, and some plans require a letter of medical necessity. Check with your benefits administrator before ordering.
Do you ship to Canada and the UK?
Yes. Kits ship free to the US, Canada and the UK. UK customers have their own kit — switch the country at the top of the page and you'll see UK pricing in pounds.
Is this a diagnostic test?
No. GutID provides wellness and educational insight into your microbiome — including named pathogens with quantities — but it isn't a substitute for a clinician's diagnosis. If you suspect an acute infection, a regulated diagnostic assay is still the right test.
